One NLP skill is mirroring. Mirroring is a relatively simple concept. When people like each other, they tend to match each other's speech patterns and movements naturally. NLP maintains that if you do this consciously yet unobtrusively, you can make people feel more at ease around you and it will be easier to convince them to do what you want.
