I have often read about people losing weight through hypnosis sessions. I was just wondering exactly how this works? Does the hypnosis help curb cravings or create a new way of thinking about eating?

There are different ways to approach this.

Some people use hypnotherapy to help them diet. I believe that's a mistake, because most people confuse the word "diet" with "starve". That's a terrible way to lose weight.

The way that I use is to change a person's relationship with food, and adding an understanding of how the body and mind work. When you work with your body, instead of against it, then weight loss is nearly inevitable.

Weight loss works, healthily and permanently, when food is your friend, not your enemy.

I think so. I have seen this done and to my knowledge it works. But you can also change thinking patterns as well.
