Hi All

It you could do anything (if you had no limitations or restraints) - what would you do?

And what is your major limitation that is holding you back?

I love asking this question to people, too!

One of the things I would do's probably do some serious theater work, which I intend to do if things go well this february. The only thing that's had held me back's what my family would think of me, but I don't care about that now. So yay! Laughing

Hi Danny,

Somethimes hope isn't really isn't enough - find out what their restictions are and why they are turning you down - then do what it takes to meet the rules. Good luck!

I find this thread fascinating. I'm surprised there aren't pages of responses. I wonder what prompts people who post on this forum to not share. If I had no limitations or restraints, I'd become an equine vet. What limitation in real life that prevents me from doing this is goal conflict. I'm a week away from 63. I don't have enough time to complete school, internship, specialty residency/fellowship, open a practice and become established. My goal to retire next year certainly is in conflict with starting a new career.

Well ,If I could do anything I wanted with nothing standing in my way,I would open a restaurant.Either that or a grocery store or some type of business. I just always wanted to open and run my own business.I will never have the money to do that though so it is not even a possibility.

You're right! You won't!

Remember you set the limitations on what is impossible. Let me ask you a question - if I gave you a dollar - could you double it? Could you invest it and make two dollars?

If so have a look at this - http://www.isnare.com/?aid=128800&ca=Business

Or you can just keep the poor mans mentality and carry on as normal!

Very Happy I'd take a year to travel the whole world and write a book about the adventures I'd have.

What's my major limitation? Well, you already said "had no limitations" so I guess I don't have any! Did I win the prize? What's the prize? A year long worldwide trip? Laughing

I would say travel also and see the world. Right now my limitation in doing this would be my family. Just not the right time to leave and travel the world.

I would take a year out of life, go to my holiday home in morocco and teach english to the children that cant afford the private lessons. It's such a laid back country and i would love to escape the fast pace of the uk for a year!

If I could do anything- absolutely anything- the first thing I'd do is drop everything and move to Europe. Either Germany, Switzerland, or Ireland,,, or maybe some other place. Like Greece. I love Greek food.

And then I'd go around a Europe trip and eat a lot of food. A lot of good food. One of my dreams in life is to travel around Europe in search of the best dessert. Wink

If I could do anything I would go to Africa/India/Asia, anywhere there are elephants, and open a wildlife reserve caring for sick or wounded animals, oh and orphaned ones too. I love all animals but especially elephants and would dearly love to work with them, heck, it wouldn't be work to me.

My major constraint to achieving my goal, money!! or rather, a lack of it. Crying or Very sad

I would learn scuba diving. Right now, I can't because I am still studying and my parents won't allow me because of the the danger involved. They don't want to pay for the instructor, the equipment, the travel fees as well.

I think I would go to law school. I always wanted to be a lawyer, not exactly sure what type but I liked the idea of being in court and making sure the law was upheld.

If I could do anything I think I would go back in time. You know to the age when your body was perfect and you start making mistakes. LOL
