There's no Thanksgiving in this part of the world.
However, I don't believe in waiting for a specific day in order to be thankful.
I am eternally grateful and thankful for all the good things I have in my life, like my family, my friends, my father, my mother who recently passed away, the good Earth, salad, pets, my brain, all the people who so generously share on this forum, and so very many other things...
Every single day, I like to think about how lucky I am. Sometimes I forget, and then I can get stressed and worried. What's the point of that?
What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful that I'm alive and that I get to eat whatever I want. Right now I'm really hungry, and about to head out for lunch, and I'm thinking of getting some spaghetti... I'm also thankful for my mind. Without it I wouldn't be able to think of the food that I like so much. |

Im full of thanks for the Sun and the Moon, the wind and the rain, earth air water and fire, my health and the health of others, my humour and the understanding of others, opportunity to grow and learn, help and heal, especially all of the little things that are taken for granted, mostly going not noticed,
oh and the Simpsons! What would life be like without good old Homer! have you ever tried to imagine... Its not worth thinking about!
Happy thanksgiving to one and all! |

| I agree that it shouldn't take a certain day marked by a calendar or a business to make money for a person to be thankful for what he or she has. I try to enjoy what I have every day, especially the time with my family. |

| With all those people that don't have homes, I'm actually happy and thankful that I have a home, and a loving family. |

| As I used to be disabled, I'm grateful every morning as my toes touch the floor and I'm able to standup and walk around unaided. |
