| You are never too old to begin an exercise program. I will guarantee you that even if you are 80 years old, if you walk two miles a day, every day, for the next twenty years, you will live to be a hundred. |

A great old man I knew who passed away last year quit smoking at 50 and became a personal trainer. He lived a great healthy life until he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 93. But up until that moment he was full of energy and just loved life. |

| Is this suppose to be humourous; hehe. I can agree that if you excerise, there is a higher chance of you living longer. I don't think it is quite reality when you say a 80 year old person were to walk 2 miles daily and live long. It might be true but I think that would kill them faster. But that is just my uneducated opinion. |

That is completely true. "Exercise can be one's best friend" as quoted from an old History teacher of mine. It is never to late to start. |

| Hm.. never too late to exercise? What if the person is dying and if he or she moves, they will die? Exercise is good but I believe there is a limit. |

Well TheBooster - I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I read that
Read it again - it's a joke - granted, it might take you a minute to understand it! |

| Well considering that it is in the joke and humor section, I should take it not literal. However according to the posts, it made me think that you actually think excerise has no limit when to start. FUNNY JOKE you got there! |

Now that's a guarantee I'd actually bet money on there, hypno-therapist!
One of the US presidents -- MAYBE Truman, but don't quote me -- when asked "who wants to live to age one hundred anyhow?" answered "I guarantee the person who wants to live to be a hundred is the man who's 99!"
My neighbor is 93 and walks down the sidewalk daily. I guess I shouldn't tell him this joke... it wouldn't turn out as funny. "I guarantee if you walk for 20 more years, you'll live to be 113." Okay, so it's still funny but he may not appreciate that humor. |

| There are no guarantees except that you will eventually pass away. Exercise is fine and even recommended but there are no promises. One should do things that are good but if you are walking and get hit by a truck your promise doesn't mean much. |

| That depends on how much of a healthy life you've lived, and many other things. |
