Kids Central Inc. in America wants to help kids overcome their trauma with Hypnosis.

To read more, why not check out the Ocala Website.

Why not let us know your thoughts about this and post on the forum.

I used to be a teacher in a high school and worked closely with the Child Protection Officer - which meant we worked with children who were being, or considered 'at risk' of being, abused etc. This involved taking NSPCC training, being CRB approved, working with social workers and the Police.

I found all of the training associated with this invaluable and recognise that I'm still very 'aware' of things when working with children or even adult clients as they present issues that are buried deep in their past.

This article strikes me as a very valuable resource to aid children at an effective level at an early stage of trauma, preventing it escalating to something that would affect them in major areas of their quality of life later if left untouched and unresolved.

My opinion is that specialised training and checking ought to continue to be a pre-requisite of anyone, whatever benefit they are offering, working with children, especially is such vulnerable circumstances. Hypnosis is extremely effective though I would be wanting to see many safety factors implements for the childrens' sake.

I don't do this for a living or anything but I have heard of this being used successfully in helping kids deal with trauma in their lives. It is sad that it needs to be done though.
