I have never seen or heard anyone in hypnosis quack like a duck.
I have noticed kids doing it, and I've done it for my own kids.
But never under hypnosis!

This article was very interesting. I had no idea Fortune 500 companies were using hypnotists in focus group studies like this. It seems obvious to do, as long as you are sure the people are really being hypnotized. A lot of times people with give "opinions" only of what they think the company wants to hear, even though it's not how they truely feel.
And as far as quacking like a duck...that seems to be the first thing anyone and everyone thinks of when they hear of a hypnotist. Or at least something of that sort. |

This was very intriguing.
I quite agree with the comment about high school focus groups harbouring the bully, the shy person, the over-opinionated etc. It's amusing that Volvo hadn't already discovered through traditional marketing that they were regarded as 'middle-aged' - as that's the impression frequently projected by car programmes such as Top Gear etc!
I wonder that Mark Babej keeps his job since he doesn't acknowledge that people buy with their subconscious far more than with their conscious?
Richard - I'm also curious as to how many hours you actually spend trailing for such information? You come up with such quirky resources! Great work though. |

In fact I will be honest... A member of staff and a few volunteers makes this forum run... I just pop in when I get the chance... So 'great work' to them!! |
