A lot of members have been posting things in regard to how hypnosis can help ailments. I found an article about how the mind can be harnessed to help with irritable bowel syndrome when all else (such as medication) fails. Apparently many patients don't respond well to medicine with this illness, and mind work can be just the cure.

| Yet another great article post! This proves just how powerful the mind can be and the effect it can have on your health when you truely believe in something. I think the mind is a lot more powerful than people give it credit for. If people used their mind and the power of their thoughts versus taking all these medications they would be a lot better off in my opinion. |

It seems that most cases of IBS are worsened significantly with stress. So, even simple destressing can help with it.

With the dietary habits of modern society and the increased levels of stress lifestyle, it is fascinating that the diagnosis of IBS has rocketed alongside.
Unfortunately, there appears to be a lot of secondary gain with those who claim IBS, and a consensus amongst sufferers that theirs is of a variety that is incurable.
I agree with crunkyjens that the mind-set is all-powerful in this one. |
