I became very interested in an idea, whilst I was training (Reiki, Shamanism, Meditation, NLP, etc). It appeared that all healing modalities takes the client to the apparent same 'open to suggestion' space through a number of different modalities. Personal prayer and meditation take the individual there too.
It seemed clear to me that there are varying depths to this period of 'availability' but they are all the same place and as I developed my understanding it seemed likely that the place is a form of brain wave pattern.
When I worked with clients I realized that just placing my hands on them and gently speaking to them I could take them to this place very easily, then the client could be available to any method of therapy.
My question for this debate is; Is one method of therapy better than another |

What you're talking about has been the subject of much debate in certain circles. At the moment, I'm keeping a very open mind about it. I personally believe you're right, but I'm wide open to changing my mind.

One hypnotherapist is trying to set up an experiment to test this very idea, although his specific ideas are quite radical.

Is one car better than the other? It depends on the terrain and the needs.
One therapy may work brilliantly for Alice for alcoholism, and terribly for Bob for cannabis addiction.
There are, of course, statistical measures; for example, statistically, CBT is the preferred choice for OCD. Yet, not everyone will respond well to it, so those people will need a different therapy.

Hmm... Maybe not... I would say 'may' need a different therapy... Or better still, will need a different approach in the same therapy... |

This one i particulary like and would like to share with you.
If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.
