Everyone has hidden talents... how many times do here someone say, "I could of played pro but I had a dodgy knee" the saying goes 'there's an entertainer inside everyone'.
However, for many reasons not all of us get the opportunity to entertain others... But if you could...
What would you be doing? Where? and how?
* I could have been a great boxer, its a fantastic discipline, learning respect, firstly for yourself and others around... Stamina, strength, stealth, only one problem.. I kept getting knocked out! The other guy kept trying to hit me! D'oh!
Joe Calzagie is a true gentleman, undisputed champ.. An Ace for him. |

Boxing... I like it.
Unfortunately Jackie banned me from doing that in the early days of our relationship. I guess that it must have been love.
I have always wanted to sing, but those how know me don't agree that I should. Paddy (moderator) will tell you how great I sing as I remember singing rather loudly at a Christmas get-to-gether that we had a few years back.
It is not entertainment, however I would love to be instrumental in the abolishion of a few things, such as the death penalty, torture and child labour.
BTW, great topic...! |

Just had to tell you that this gave me smile on a gloomy morning (weather-wise... otherwise I've been playing "Christmas Radio... all Christmas music all the time" and shopping online, so a great morning)
The other guy kept trying to hit me. hehe Yep, I like that.
Let's see if I can come up with something. Okay, being in the medical community I'll have to say that I would have been an emergency room doctor, but sick and injured people kept bugging me. Uh... okay, so the boxing one was better.
I would have been a track and field star but they wanted me to run. Okay, okay, I'll stop while I'm ahead. |

If loud = great, then you sing great!
Does anyone on this forum remember punk music? In those days, loud was better, because you didn't need much talent to sing it!
I think I'd love to act, but part-time only.

I stumbled across the Kenny Everret show the other day and was instantly laughing my head off... Remember 'Sid Snot' it was funny, and still is... I think the other one was 'Gizzard Puke'.... Very Punk rock, sorry Paddy I was more of a Heavy Metal/Rock music. Was punk, Mods & Rockers? Sting and all that? |

No! I was also into the heavy metal, briefly, and still am into rock (among other genres).
To understand punk, think of a wild, uncoordinated feeling of rebellion. Think of a "singer" on stage, jumping around wildly with no semblance of dance or pattern, screaming and shouting into the mike. Think of the drummer beating the heck out of his drums, and the guitarists making their instruments belt out loud and unmusical music. Think loud.
It was a lot of fun, but doomed not to last.

Maybe we should start a Comback for Punk music, which part of the band would you like to be?
From what your saying I would be perfect as i can't dance, sing, drum, or play any other instrument with any known grace.
We could call the band the Hype - o - Therapists! What do you think? |
