Generosity 'may be in the genes':
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7133079.stm
How much of our character is genetic?
To what extent do people try to make themselves into a different type of character (business person, entrepreneur, saint, religious hero, charity worker...) when their genes want them to be just who they are?

Hey Paddy,
The whole debate on genes and their connection to certain personality traits is something that amazes me no end.
I can't wait to hear what others have to say... |

I cant give any links to the story, however I remember reading an article a while back of twins, seperated at birth. They found each other a few decades later to descover they both were working in identical jobs, both were married with the same number of kids... And even their husbands looked simular! The list goes on.. music, food etc...
Is it all to do with Heritage?
Its all about the mind being Pro-active or Re-active, in many cases people try to learn from the mistakes made by biological parents... Its a parents worse nightmare to feel that they are turning into their own parent, and how they were treated...
A chinese proverb say, "What Demons you do not face, your first born child will.."
