|
|
i have a question here.
I wonder how anyone might use EFT to help him get to sleep at night. I can go to bed and be extremely tired, but I lay there, and my brain does not shut down, and I cannot get to sleep for hours. It is the same situation with everyone out there.
Can EFt help in getting a sound and smooth sleep? |

Hey,
I know this is an old topic but maybe someone else will get some benefit from it. There are a few ways you can approach this but this one is the most straight forward.
First you need to state your goal in the positive. Maybe something like:
'It is now 2200 on the 25th of October and I'm lying in bed finding myself drifting off to sleep easily'. Or any other kind of wording that resonates with you.
As long as it's a description of what you DO want in stead of 'not being able to get to sleep'.
You might find that you'll start to come up with objections like 'It's never that easy for me...' or 'I feel restless in bed'.
Use EFT on all those reasons.
'Even thought it's never that easy for me I deeply and completely accept myself' tap tap tap
'Even though I feel restless in bed...' tap tap tap
Once you've tapped away all of those objections, ask yourself this question: 'What's stopping me from falling asleep quickly?' and tap all the responses.
If you were doing NLP or Hypnosis you wouldn't use a question like that but since your tapping everything immediately it should be fine. |

Hi!
This sounds pretty interesting. I could use some help falling asleep too. The way the tap tap thing was described, sounds like a variant of counting sheep. Is it necessary to do the tapping? And where? |

| Although there is some debate, on the whole most EFTers agree that you need to tap on specific points. There is lots of information available for free alll over the internet. Check out www.emofree.com and www.tapping.com |

Interestingly enough, Gary Craig himself (the creator champion and of EFT) has spoken several times of research indicating that the specific points are not important.
However, the specific points do serve a useful purpose in creating a structure within which the EFT can work.
