Hi all

My name is Darren and just for a bit of background here is my story in a few words.

I have been studying hypnosis for the last 17 years and have been a NLP practitioner for the last 5/6 years having attended the Bandler/McKenna/Breen training.

Hypnosis and NLP are areas of my life that have remainded constant and for anyone considering firstly improving themselves and eventually progressing to a position where you can start to help others these skills are not only a major advantage but also so intriguing that you cant help but to remain interested.

I would like to compliment all the guys and girls running this site and those that are prepared to post comments in the various forum's. Having read through several of the sections already, I am truly amazed how open everyone is and how helpful the community are. Its a real pleasure to be part of a community that has no pre-conceived perceptions of others and are prepared to help without judgement.

Figured out to say hello, well that's a start. I just began hypnotherapy and EFT sessions with a trained facilitator. I'm a little skeptical because I have such a critical inner voice, but I'm really looking to see if my short fuse that goes back to childhood can be stilled by these methods. I've tried others--therapists, psychiatrists, anti-depressants, and in the end, nothing has worked. I'm trying to disentangle the downward spirals but could use all the help I can get. I'm open to any suggestions on
what I should be doing, and if anyone thinks these methods are helpful.
Thanks,
Pat from Chicago
