So why is appearing high in the search engines good for business?

It's simple, the higher you are for key-phrases that people actually use in places like google, the more people will visit your site, the more clients you will get.

Currently in 5th place is our social bookmarking entry at Digg.com

So in as little as 6 hours we have a page that points directly to our thread in google at position 5 when people type in hypnotherapy england.

In fact google says that this page has been there for 4 hours which meant it only took 2 hours to get to that position...

I have just taken another step and summitted the thread to http://www.stumbleupon.com/ and created an account with StumbleUpon Exchange so that I can get some free stumbles...

Correct me if I'm wrong...

I think it's important to note that Google already has this site rated highly (page rank 3) and frequently indexed.

So, it's not just due to the social bookmarking. There is a foundation that it's building on.

What about other indexing sites, specifically MSN and Yahoo?

Hi all,

Did I make the simplest of mistakes?

I think that in all of my efforts I used the wrong URL for this thread...

The URL that I used will still point to this thread, however google may not have picked up on it. Reason being, we have one set of URL's for members and another set for non-members and google. I should have used the latter.

Thats maybe why the actual page hasn't shown in google yet.

I will get on it now and resubmit everything and keep you updated.

Hopefully we will be in google by the end of the day for the search phrase hypnotherapy england.

So, five months on and we are still #2 in google for Hypnotherapy England!

Of course it would be better to have that #1 position that is held by someone else, however being #2 in google for when someone types in Hypnotherapy England is no mean feat so I am more than happy!!

And who knows? If I keep typing the keyphrase hypnotherapy england then we may just get to poll position and stay there
