Do you believe in the idea of a 'soulmate'? there are so many people out there in search of theirs are they searching in vain? or do we all have a soulmate and if so what are they exactly? |

Its a nice thought, but soulmates to me are like religion - people just trying to find something that meets their needs...
But then again, I could be wrong... |

| I don't know if you would call it a soulmate. But I do believe that there is someone out there for everyone you just have to be lucky enough to run across each other. |

Personally, I used to believe in this. Then I stopped. Not because I got my heart broken or anything but because I got to thinking and I thought that a soul mate will only be your soul mate if you think he/she is your soul mate. Even if soul mates are definite, if your "definite" soul mate is not how you see the person, then for you, he isn't your soul mate. Then because of this, anyone can be your soul mate. As long as you think that that person is your soul mate. |

I don't necessarily believe in soulmates as a fact, but I do believe that for some people there is the "ideal" mate and I've already got mine.
I have known my partner for 32 yrs, we met when I was 13 and we've been together for 29 yrs and we both knew when we met that we were "meant" for each other. We've had plenty of life problems and some really major rows and there have even been times when we spoke of separating, but we always knew that we were going to be together for a very long time and never got to that point. Sometimes he drives me totally insane, as I imagine I do to him, but I do know that there will never be another man who could take his place. |

Wow, it's so nice to hear of stories like yours. I wish you both many many more years together. You've made it through 32 years. You can make it for another 32 years. |

Yes indeed very heart warming and alot of what you say rings true for me too.
we are far from 32 years old (14 and counting) but i too feel there is no other man out there that could fill his boots quite like he does |
