Hi all,
With just 31 hours away until the start of The Apprentice 2008 I am getting excited!
I wanted to start this thread so that we could discuss the show through the whole series...
You can check out all of this years candidates on the BBC site at http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/candidates.html...
So, will there be anyone as tearful as Jo or as annoying as Tre in this years line up?
What was your best moment in The Apprentice over the years?
Oh... And if you are watching Sir Alan, mines milk with two sugars |

Richard... Your Fired!
Someone was gonna say it!
I think the most interesting part of the last series was the was that the guy... I dont remember his name, (quite posh army chap) and the girl...(I dont remeber her name either! D'oh) well the army guy, he was completely smitten with the foxy lady and completely blew his chance to win - that particular challenge...
admittedly buying a complete cash and carry's worth of cheese and taking it to France wasn't his best move, but watching the episode unfold is really interesting to see him all google eyed! Hard to think that this was happening on national tv? She completely played him.
Then, she did something really interesting in the final... quit!?
It seemed that the victory was not the real reason she was there, it was her own personal conquest. Did she win or not? I mean was that she would call a victory? Its like going all the way to the peak of Everest then turning back saying, "Nnnaaww, not today.." |

Well, well, well...
For those that didn't watch, Nicholas, the barrister that couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag was FIRED!
I was surprised at how many genuinely annoying candidates, Sir Alan has this year.
Have they started scrapping the bottom of the barrel already? I sure hope not...
This weeks challenge was running a fish stall...
I do wonder if it was clever editing that made them look so incompetent or whether it was reality... Anyway I will certainly watch with interest as the series progresses.
Quote of the week was from Nick Hewer - "Didn't it strike any of you, that a £5 lobster is bloody cheap". OK I know its not that funny, but it was the best so far!
I say - Nick Hewer for mayor of London!!! |

OH what a start to this excellent programme!
Nicholas was a wet fish and i thought he would be right at home around a fish counter, obviously not! With his 'outstanding' legal abilities, you'd have thought he would have been able to handle himself in the boardroom alot better than he did and shouldnt have had to result to class divisions! he dug himself a canyon in the boardroom and deserved to go.
Raef....i dont like him too much either |

Shazia - You're Fired...
OK, so I am no multi-millionaire but I felt that Sugar got it all wrong yesterday...
He sacked the only woman that really had no reason to be sacked out of the three that went back into the boardroom.
Well-done to the boys... They did so well... Can't believe it but I think that Raef is actually growing on me...
Come on Nick... Say something funny! |

|

What a show...
I love to see people learn new things, but watching Ian learn the meaning of 'LOSER' was hard to watch.
The program was full to the brim of scenes that will make even the cheesiest of people cringe.
This week they had to run the food service in two public houses in London. The boys went with Italian and the girls with a Bollywood style evening.
The girls won in the end, even though the boys took more money on the tills, they ended up over spending on stock. The girls used their skills to get free printing, marketing and merchandising stuff, which gave them in the end, the upper hand.
So who's going to win? Is it too early to say?
I am going with either Claire, Simon or Alex at the moment with the possibility of Jennifer catching up soon.
This also makes me wounder who should lose...
Well, I don't think that Lee, Lucinda, Sara or Jenny have anything left to show or prove and certainly wouldn't cry over their (hopefully imminante) departures. |
