So many alternative therapies have established requirements for certification that cost tons of money, which is really a shame.
Are the educational requirements for EFT certification less than those to practice NLP or therapeutic hypnosis? Once on makes the investment in training, are the opportunities in the field such that a practice can be built within a few months of certification? |

Yes, the educational requirements for EFT are less than for NLP.
But...
Bear in mind that successful use of EFT requires NLP. So, you might say that the educational requirements for EFT are more than for NLP!
Your second question, about creating a practice within a few months...
Now you're talking about business. Having a therapy practice means running a business. You will have to market, market, and market. That's an entirely new -- and big -- topic.
Conventional wisdom says that it takes a new business a full year to hit profitability. Whether that's "true" for you will depend on many factors, including your dogged persistence.

| Is NLP currently a prerequisite for EFT training, or is it one of the skills incorporated with EFT and, therefore, taught on some rudimentary level while training for EFT certification? |

Some basic NLP is taught at the higher levels of EFT. Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, frequently refers to NLP; he has done a proper NLP Practitioner course. I would suggest following that example.
Most (if not all) of the successful EFT practitioners that I've seen or read about have at least one other therapy training under their belt, not necessarily NLP. |
