I found an online school that offers a free introductory course in hypnosis. I am thinking about trying it, since it is free, but don't have anyone to practice techniques with.

Would it be better to go through the free course, then ask friends to allow me to practice on them, or is it best to save up and take the full certification, delaying practice until I am doing the clinical practicum?

There's no harm in doing a free introductory course.

Bear in mind, of course, that this is an introductory course, and won't leave you qualified to practice therapy.

I don't believe this course states one is qualified as a hypnotherapist, upon completion. I believe it uses the term "hypnotist", which conjures visions of nightclub acts or recreational mind play. Razz
