|

Certain foods and tastes have certain associations. For Example, sweet tasting things like chocolate or dessert are associated with indulgence, fun times and even sex.
On the other hand Lemons may be associated with bitterness and sour people...
I have heard lectures from people like Deepak Choprah, one in particular was about balancing ones diet, to balance ones character...
Imagine you could now wave a magic wand and magically see yourself as a food or a taste, what would it be?
And... what do you think others might think it would be?
* I have my answer which i will post ...Soon..
Its just for fun, and you might learn something about yourself, even if, you choose to not post it here..
Have a great weekend |

One word - Nuts, would probably be how most people would sum me up as a food that would describe my personality. You know what? I think that I would agree with them, however I would describe myself as a walnut whip! Nutty on the top, but soft, rich and luxurious on the inside |

| I would have to go with sweet and sour sauce. I am not to sure if you would consider that an actual food or not. Just because I can be sweet at times and at others a sour type person. Never really thought about this before so really had to think on this one. |

Oh my, what a conversation! There's only one answer I can come up with... chocolate. Smooth and silky MILK chocolate, though... the sweet kind and not the dark chocolate that is way too bitter for my taste. Did I just give away too much about myself? |

You really need to patent yourself as a candy bar, Richard... it sounds like a best seller for sure! |

OK I actually had two things that came straight into my head and so I am not sure what that means but at first I had Strawberries as I can be very sweet and then the second was a Cadbury's Creme Egg (hard on the outside and soft in the middle too) and I often get told this by my friends that I am like a Cadbury's Creme Egg ummm enlighten me Gandolf! |

You just reminded me that I haven't had my first Cadbury Egg for this year yet... although I've seen them, just haven't picked one up yet. Anything that involves milk chocolate is a winner in my book. |

Excellent answers!
In being able to describe ones self as a taste or food is very insightful, if only to ones self... People who have chosen sweet things often see themselves that way, and rightly so... the old saying goes, "you are what you eat"
In seeing this within yourself it may be possible to find a balance, if you feel that balance is needed...
A person might go to a resturant looking forward to desert, however other courses make the complete meal.
I already had my answer, I would see myself as a Bannana! Full of energy, naturally sweet, however if you leave me in the sun too long, I'll go off! Good for any occasion, and often overlooked as the best 'fruit' in the bowl...

First of all, this thread is making my mouth water. Second of all, this is very interesting! I've never thought about it before, but it does seem like you are what you eat. Although if you see yourself as a bitter taste, does that mean you're a bitter person? I would definitely go for sweets, something rich like a mocha chocolate cake or something less sweet but more classy like French Vanilla ice cream. It does seem to say a lot about my personality, interestingly enough. Thanks for the info... I'm going to start "experimenting" on this by asking this question to my friends! |

I have heard many 'Therapists' of all kinds, talking at great length about balance. Intuitively if you describe your self bitter, then perhaps unconsciously you might be suggesting to yourself to be a little, 'Dryer' 'Sweeter' 'Bland' 'Sour' etc, to balance things out a bit?
it depends on how you might balance the original suggestion..
Too much of anything is out of balance, moderation is a key, even when it comes to personality! We are allowed to be human after all.

| I am curious now as to what my husbands answer would be? I have an idea but I will wait and see what he says first. There are some really good answers on here. I think it helps in the sense that I get to know just a tad more about some of you. |

| This is an interesting idea and I can definitely see how it makes sense considering our mind constantly makes relationships out of common things in our lives. Food has a lot of sensation attached to it for the brain so it would be natural that we can draw deeper conclusion from it. |

So true, I am always saying we are what we eat and this gives a perfect example. I will now have to try this out on my partner also and see what he can come up with.
Gandalf - I have a friend who is a chef and he does the same when he is tasting or preparing a meal it makes me laugh watching his face!! |
