Again, I'm not sure which forum to put this exactly (to the admin, you may move this thread to whereever you see appropriate), especially seeing that there's been some confusion in these boards about Life Coaching and I don't mean to add to that confusion, but my mom bought me a book about Developmental Skills Training (www.thepathway.org) and I really enjoyed reading it and going over how they held their sessions.
To Professional Life Coaches out there, do you consider Developmental Skills Training something life Life Coaching? Because if so, then people (including me haha!) should start doing away with doubts about Life Coaching being too obstrusive and imposing. If it were available here, I'd love to get myself in a...I forgot what they called their groups. Solution Circles? Something like that. |

Not at all. They have nothing to do with each other.
However, some skills trainers learn coaching to add to their set of skills...

Coaching is never obtrusive or imposing. Anyone doing that is not doing life coaching.
Coaching is, to use the jargon, "non-directive".
