For months now you have been plagued with questions about your future, your significant other, or perhaps your current occupation, but you are unsure of where they can be answered. Of course hypnotherapy can help, but which style of hypnosis is right for the problems your currently having? Will all my questions be answered through unconscious devolution of your issues? Are my problems more complex then a normal hypnosis can handle? Do the dreams I have, actually control my overall future? Each hypnosis has an original style. It is true; not every style is right for every individual. Instead of fretting which style is for you; do some investigating. Call a local hypnotherapy establishment, and just ask some simple questions. Can any style solve my issues? What makes your way of hypnosis different? Is there a definitive style of hypnosis that is better than all the others? With these questions, and the following list of hypnosis style summarized, below, you should be able to answer those questions you have been struggling with.

1. Doubts & Fears: The issue of doubts and fears is the most common reason individuals visit hypnotherapy establishments. Once the hypnotherapist has their customer in the basic state of tranquility, he/she will attempt to confront the issues. The hypnosis will confront the individual’s mental ailments, by talking to the person directly. For example, if the individual has a fear of heights the hypnotherapist will say, “We will slowly walk up to the edge of a cliff. Although it may seem dangerous, you remain calm”.

2. Confidence: This form of hypnotherapy has been recently popularized by former or current athletes. Although each sports athlete may seem like an Adonis on the field/court, they are humans with regular fears. Recently several athletes have admitted to a lack of confidence in their respective sports, and have turned to hypnosis for a solution. Within the same style of disabling doubts and fears, the hypnotherapist will confront the individual’s lack of confidence by talking directly at it. For instance, the hypnotherapist will say, “You know you are one of the best athletes. You have done all of the necessary practice, now all you have to do is have fun and play the game”.

3. Astrology & Horoscopes: It is believed that each person was born on a specific date for a special reason. Each month holds a different hue of emotion, and each number represents a different ideology. There is several lucky numbers, such as 1, 3, 7, and 9. There is of course a list of unlucky numbers, the most notable of course being 13. Through this practice of matching numbers with emotions and ideologies, it allows the customer to become aware of his true meaning and solve issues with a clear reality.

4. Dreams: Sigmund Freud believed that the unconscious of men and women is revealed through their dreams. Not every dream, should be interpreted into a different message, but each dream is sprinkled with some of the individual’s fears, concerns, urges, enjoyments. In dissecting ones dreams individuals can garner a better understand of themselves and the world around them. Once an individual can truly understand themselves, they can perceive the world in a crystal clear reality.

The innate ability to read an individual’s current state of emotion is not normal, but then again, nothing special. On the other hand the ability to conjure up an individual’s definitive confidence and erase their fears. This gift must be expressed and performed to the highest degree. If you believe you have this ability, you should start performing hypnosis, but how? Are there necessary item I need to perform hypnotherapy? What actually occurs when the hypnotherapist counts down? How does one even begin to figure out the elements of hypnotherapy? All these questions are perfectly normal when attempting to begin as a hypnotherapy. It is important to excavate all forms of hypnosis before you settle down in your own practice. In the end not all methods will work for you, but it is important to strive in testing all of them. Below, is a small list, that has been compiled to give you a better understanding of the tools used in hypnotherapy.

1. Counting Down. This method of hypnotherapy is used to reach divination. As the individual performing the hypnosis, it is imperative to guide the customer through an organized journey through their own personality. Through this journey, you will enlighten the customer with a better understanding of their life and the world around them. As far the countdown goes, each number is a rung on a ladder to reach a tranquil state of mind. This mindset is imperative when attempting to instill a certain mindset in the individual.

2. Spoken Word: Once, the individual has reached a state of open tranquility, the hypnotherapist will then confront the individual’s existing issue. In the event that the patient is suffering from fear and doubt, the hypnosis will display these issues in a easy context for the individual to internally digest. However, if the individual is suffering from a lack of confidence, the hypnotherapist will almost become an internal ego booster. Either way, this form of hypnotherapy allows thoughts and beliefs, morals and values to sink into an individual’s head through an internal back door.

3. Hypnosis: The actual method of hypnosis aids the individual to overcome fears, doubts, and a lack of confidence. The idea behind this practice is that most individuals have a tough time dealing with their issues, so if they are taken out their element, they will become more comfortable to reveal themselves. This tool of hypnotherapy, as of late, has also been used to help customers gain confidence in themselves.

4. Truth Herbs: Even though truth herbs may sound like a derivative of voodoo, it actually is practiced several different sorts of hypnotherapy. These herbs are used in any tea, and give the customer a “placebo effect” of relaxation. Once the customer has reached this state of tranquility, it will make it easier for him/her to delve into his issues. Although this method may seem extreme, it is 100% safe and reliable.

The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists is an established certification board that has provided a widely respected credential to over three thousand of your different colleagues. The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists is unique in that it provides certification and networking opportunities to potential professionals from all mental health and medical disciplines who meet the Board’s particular standards.

- Certification Categories:

The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists provides six certification categories to potential professionals. The categories go as follows: National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (NBCCH), National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in Public Service (NBCCH-PS), National Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Hypnotherapy (NBCDCH), National Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Hypnotherapy in Public Service (NBCDCH-PS), National Board Certified Fellow in Clinical Hypnotherapy (NBCFCH), and the National Board Certified Fellow in Clinical Hypnotherapy in Public Service (NBCDCH-PS).

- Eligibility Requirements:

All applicants whether mental health, health care practitioners, and/or pastoral counselors have earned a graduate level degree. This degree must have be in any of the full spectrum of appropriatte academic disciplines from a regionally accredited educational institution. In the event that the individual wants to become involved in the medical aspect of hypnosis, he/she must hold an appropriatte Masters or Doctorate degree.

Individuals who are attempting to achieve this level of accreditation must have earned a degree in one of the following: social work, school counseling, psychology, psychiatry, physics, psychiatric nursing, pastoral counseling, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, chiropractic, and addiction and substance abuse counseling.
In addition to having a degree, each individual is required to have hypnotherapy training. Within this spectrum each individual is required to participate in 60 or more contact hours of classroom instruction. During this training the hypnosis courses must be at least 18 hours, which include in-class supervised practice.

The application for any one of the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists may be made with at least 30 hours clinical hypnotherapy training, and as long as all the other current requirements are met. Although the board will be eligibly documented in the NBCCH records, it is not a clear cut substitute for certification.
Both of the Diplomate and Fellow certification require an additional amount of clinical experience past the initial certification requirements. The Diplomate accredidation can only be sought out after three years in hypnotherapy practice. On the other hand the Fellow accredidation can only be sought out four years after receiving the origal certification.
